Finally my Vietnamese girlfriend has just managed to come back to her home country after nearly 1.5 years stuck in the U.S. Today I would like to share our experience of how to come back to Vietnam during Covid time which we might never forget.
As far as you have known, due to the outbreak of Coronavirus, all countries have tightened the entry policies, even their home people and Vietnam has done as well. It was a really hard time for my friend to struggle to come back to her home country. She had spent much time contacting the Vietnamese Embassy to register the repatriation flight. We knew that the embassy tried their best to support their people but the limitation of flight and schedule made them difficult to distribute to the large number of Vietnamese people wanting to come back to their home country. All wish to come to Vietnam as fast as possible with a lot of necessary and urgent reasons; it is truly hard to decide which one is more urgent.
As the result, my friend had been waiting for about 1 year to get her name on the list. She was so happy to get the email from the embassy, I still remembered how happy she was on that day. She smiled and smiled and made me smile as well. You must have thought about my mistake since in the first I mentioned her time of stucking of 1.5 years and then she got the name on the list after about 1 year. I confirm that it is true and I am not wrong as she could not leave the U.S with a positive PCR-test which she got before her flight home exactly 1 day. What a pity for her.
Once again, she has been waiting for the email from the embassy, we have thought it might last at least 1 year again. However, 1 month ago, she got a phone call from her Vietnamese relatives informing her about her father’s disease and she decided to find the way to come back in the shortest time. We have asked many Vietnamese friends and then found out about the commercial repatriation flight from a high reputation travel agency. They provide us with a detailed schedule to come back to Vietnam and support me to apply for the documents as well. Just by sending them the passport information and information of relatives in Vietnam, they will submit the documents to get the entry permit for you to come back. Then all detailed instructions will be sent to you to prepared, including,
- The PCR test must be done before departure time of 72 hours
- Valid Vietnamese passport
- The certificate of full doses or the certificate of recovery from COVID-19. At this point, it was so lucky for my friend to choose this service, they double check all and give sound advice checking if this certificate is accepted or not. You can check on this site to find out your certificate proper or not https://lanhsuvietnam.gov.vn/Lists/BaiViet/B%C3%A0i%20vi%E1%BA%BFt/DispForm.aspx?List=dc7c7d75-6a32-4215-afeb-47d4bee70eee&ID=1078
For quarantine, if you use this service, you will stay in hotel from 3-4*, it is better to control diseases, in our opinion.
For making payment, there are two points you have to remember; once when you confirm to get the seat on the flight; the last once is before departure time of 7 days. Our agency also mentioned about the delay time; it might come, if it is more than 10 days, you can cancel and get the full refund. It is truly professional and this is why we made the decision to purchase this repatriation flight.
Now my girl has just come back to her family and I think I would share this to those who are tired of finding the way to go back home . This option might be suitable and helpful.
